Peak climbing:

Fully experienced and trained climbers are required for peak climbing. Many smaller Himalayan Peaks can be successfully climbed by strong trekkers and amateur mountaineers on a relatively short holiday. Government of Nepal has opened 18 Peaks for peak climbers that are known as "Trekking Peaks" with permission from Nepal Mountaineering Association. Peaks climbing are certainly not just an extension of a walking trek, although they are not technically difficult by their normal route of ascent. People who wish to undertake this type of climbing need psychological plus physical stamina and require basic mountain climbing skills above the snow line - using ice axe, crampons, ropes and general climbing equipments. There are 1310 Himalayan peaks over 6000 meters which offers joys of mountaineering in Nepal which can be combined with the pleasure of Trekking & Expedition. Detailed itineraries for all peaks are available on request from Debonair Travel & Tours Pvt. Ltd.
